Granny

As kids we would do our best to irritate grandma by ringing the doorbell over and over upon our arrival. It started as a joke but soon became our secret signal to Granny and Grandpa that it was us at the door. She always had treats ready for us, a smile on her face, and several "Boy oh boy"s, or "Oh my stars.". I don't have a single favourite memory because I have too many... but most involve fresh baked goods and lots of colourful flowers. I hope I've inherited her resilliance, her confidence and her ability to make every person in the room feel like her favourite. Love you, granny!
