Mrs Holmes and "Tinker"

When Barbara was recently hospitalized I went to visit with her at GRH. After socializing with her for a few minutes she told me that her late cat "Tinker" (a female short-haired, black/white mix), had come to visit her at the hospital too. Barbara must have been able to see the cat in order to acknowledge it... When Barbara was released from the hospital and sent home, I went by their residence to visit her. I had volunteered to bring in my "Leo" ( a medium size version of a Main-Coon), so she could admire him for a while. Barbara had met my Leo when he was much younger and she really liked him. However, Barbara was reluctant because "Tinker" had the run in the condominium and she was concerned about upsetting her cat. So I politely agreed. Pets also have spirits when they transition into the afterlife, some are reluctant to move on until their owner/companion also move on with them. This usually happens when the love for each other is inseparable. They are great teachers of love, fidelity, and emotional guides, in this life and in the afterlife. When "Tinker" reappeared to Barbara I knew that special bond was an assurance to Barbara.
