Obituary for Dana Carolyn Woito

Woito, Dana Carolyn

57 of Kitchener, passed away on Friday, January 25th from cancer. Dana, beloved wife of Kevin Donelson, loving step-mother of Lindsay (Mike), Brendan (Paula), cherished niece of Leona (Toots) Hamilton. Beloved sister in law of the late Paul Donelson, Greg (Colette), Rob (Theresa), and Mike (Catherine) Donelson. Much loved aunt of Brian (Sarah), Mark (Lugene), Phil (Jenna), Riley, Brieanna, Maddie, Kieran and Erin. Remembered by many cousins.

Dana was a highly respected and admired colleague at Conestoga College, where she served as Associate Registrar. She was also a gifted Registrar at St Jerome's University in Waterloo, and used her administrative talents at Holy Name of Mary HS in Mississauga, Vision TV and Queen's Park.

She loved so many of you and loved the words she used to express that love. For those fortunate enough to receive the "Scooter" blog, Dana recounted in minute detail her journey during her cancer treatment. Her favourite places were our backyard garden, any Broadway theatre and as a singer in the choir at St. Louis Church. She also loved the birds at our feeder and Charlie on her lap.
And we cannot forget her devotion and love for all members of the Congregation of the Resurrection.

Dana's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E. Waterloo, on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Parkview, follow by a reception in the church gym.
