Colquhoun, Daniel James (A.K.A. Sarge)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Colquhoun Sr. on Friday, March 1, 2019. Sarge passed away peacefully at Innisfree House surrounded by the love of family at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Mackie) for 53 years. Loving father to Daniel Jr. and Mike (Paula). Adored fun loving "Pop" to grandson Tyler, his pride and joy. Dear brother of Diane Fournier (Neddy), Beverly Zangari (Jack) and Pat (Dwight). He will also be missed and remembered by his brothers-in-law Len and Keith Mackie and many nieces and nephews.

Sarge was a member of the Kitchener Police Force and then Waterloo Regional Police Force for 29 years. He finished his decorated career as a Detective Sergeant. He was a long time member of Doon and Rockway Golf Course with a golf career culminating in capturing the Amateur Ontario Men's Senior Golf Championship in 2003 as well as representing Canada in a international tournament in Ireland.

The family of Daniel will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 11-12:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The memorial service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Saturday followed by a reception.

Private cremation has taken place.

Special thanks for the incredible care and compassion from the staff and volunteers at Innisfree House.
