The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donna McKechnie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

You knew you where family....

Donna was my Dad Cecil's neice, but because of the age difference, my Mom Pat & Donna were the same age. I remember the early days & still have pictures of them singing & dancing with Pam & Herb, Donna & Mac. As the kids came along, life got busier for everyone but we still spent time with the family. Beth & I playing Barbies at their house with Janice & talking about "stuff" Donna was always smiling & cooking. She seemed to love to have people around. Her laugh was great, wasn't it! As life changed again & we kids left the nest to go in our own direction, we didn't see each other as much, but you could always count on Donna & Mac to be there if there was an invitation or event. Family parties, funerals, celebrations. Mike & I occassional would pick up Mom & Dad & take them to see Donna & Mac. We enjoyed more than a couple of lunchs on Helen Ave. ... & maybe the occassional glass of wine. Life there was comfort ...family ...familiar. You always felt special when you were around them. Time changes, with different changes in our lives & since moving to New Brunswick amost 5 years ago, just after Donna moved to Kitchener, we lost contact. But...memories are forever ... & I will always treasure the times we got to share... that laugh & smile & the kindest of hearts. Sorry, we are unable to be there for you this last time but, be well on your journey ...& keep smiling! Biggest of Hugs Love Bev & Mike
