The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorothy Landells can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: We will miss you, Dorothy.
Dorothy was a good friend of my aunt, Sr. Sara Thomas who had travelled from India to Canada way back in the late 1950s for a 6 month stint before returning to India. They remained good friends, so much so that even after 42 years when we decided to move to Canada, my aunt asked me to contact Dorothy Landells in Welland. And thus began our wonderful relationship with a grand lady who was intuitive, astute & well-read on most aspects of life. Her strengths & her grounded outlook on life are traits that we hope to imbibe in our lives. We are truly privileged to have known her, Heather. Rest in Peace, Dorothy.

Condolence: Heather, I worked at Wesley Robins when your mom lived there and helped her pack up and move to Kitchener to be closer to you. She was so sweet and had a great sense of humor. I'm so glad she got to spend the last few years living close to you. Sending my sympathy to you and the family.

Condolence: Heather, it was wonderful that you and your mom lived close to each other these last few years so that you could see her often - I know that pleased your mother very much. I always enjoyed talking to her and she invited me for lunch one time and we had a great visit. I'm sure you will miss her. I was also very fond of your father - we were on the Board of Directors together for several years.

Condolence: Heather, I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario. When I was just a young girl (9 or 10 years old) your Mother, Miss Ovens, taught me at Drummond Rd. School in Niagara Falls. Before she left to teach in England, she took our classes names and exchanged them with her class in England. I am still writing to my penpal to this day and that's about 60 years ago. My name in school was Gail Kimmer and my penpal is Jean Parkes in England. I thought I would share this with you. It sounds like she had a very good life. I liked her very much as my teacher. With deepest sympathy, Linda Gail.
