On February 7 2019, Frank Flanagan, at the age of 84, was called home to be with the Lord. He left this world comfortably, peacefully and surrounded by love. As a constant and shining example of selflessness, humility, kindness and love, he will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives were touched by him.

Francis (Frank) Flanagan, beloved husband of Suzanne Cavanagh. Dear father of John and Heather (nee Williams) Flanagan, Paul Flanagan, Dave and Patricia (nee Poutney) Flanagan, and Patrick and Leigh-Ann (nee Rushton) Flanagan. Much loved grandfather of Trevor (Kasia), Stephanie (Tim), Brent (Rebecca), Shawn and Scott (Vanessa) Flanagan. Great-grandfather to Jaydah, Keagan, Lilyan, Norah and Maverick. He will be dearly missed by his brother Robert (Mary) Flanagan, sister in-laws Rosemary Flanagan, Marlene Flanagan, Delores Flanagan and Trudy Flanagan. Frank is pre-deceased by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Flanagan (nee Connolly), son Dennis, brothers Ferg, Austin, Ben and Joseph as well as parents Patrick and Catherine.

An inspiring father, friend, co-worker and example to all, Frank will be deeply missed by the team at Horizon Furniture, which he co-founded over 30 years ago. He left a powerful legacy in the company, its customers, suppliers and its employees who will fondly remember him as an ever positive, cheerful motivator, known for his gentle leadership. wisdom and guidance. We are ever grateful for the gift of Frank in our lives and trust him to the hands of the Lord. We also thank all of those who loved and prayed for him, sat with him and visited during his time of need. He is now at peace in the arms of his Saviour.

Friends and family are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of Frank during visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Parish Prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 10. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church (29 Midland Dr., Kitchener) at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019. A short visitation will be available at the church from 10 - 10:45 a.m. before the mass. Interment Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at Conestoga Place ((formerly Knights of Columbus Hall) 110 Manitou Dr., Kitchener.)) As expressions of sympathy and gratitude for the life of Frank Flanagan, donations in his memory to Diabetes Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be very much appreciated.
