February 12, 1937 - March 23, 2019

Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, after a lengthy battle with diabetes and cancer at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Beloved husband of Darlene for 62 years.
Cherished father of Randy (Patty), Rob (Luanne) and Terri-Lynn (Peter McPhee).
Cherished grandfather to 13, great-grandfather to 17 and great-great-grandfather to 1.
Predeceased by his son Rick and his grandson Steven.
Survived by his mother-in-law Cecile Musselman and daughter-in-law Peggy.
Dear brother of Dolly Oswald (the late Ken), Carol Schnepf (Sig), Judy Taylor (Greg) and Bernie Dezell (the late Nigel). Also survived by his sister-in-law Maxine.
Will be greatly missed by the extended Geisel and Musselman families.
Predeceased by his brothers Robert, Doug (Theresa), Jack (Joyce) and Charles (Geraldine).

Peter's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Reception will be held at the funeral home, following the service. Cremation to follow.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

Special thanks to Dr. Duncan Schwarz and the exceptional, caring nursing staff of the palliative care unit at Freeport Hospital.
