Obituary for Haiwoon Park

Park, Haiwoon:
Passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 68.
Born in South Korea, Haiwoon immigrated to Canada and finally settled in Kitchener for the last 44 years. A hard-working dedicated family man and a loyal friend, his life was rich with happiness, laughter and love.
Although Haiwoon's life was cut short, he led a fulfilling life through his love of travel and for his grand-children. He was considered "Hal-abeoji" to more than just his own grandchildren. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Pyungsoon, his dearest children Katherine (Jim) and Donald (Alaina), his cherished grandchildren Rylan and Connor, and his beloved sister Jeong Yee. He will be forever remembered by his dear mother-in-law, esteemed brothers- and sisters-in-law, and his many treasured nephews, nieces, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Haiwoon's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, reception to follow. A second visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. -10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel. Internment will follow the service on Saturday at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave, Waterloo, ON, N2J 4A8.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
