Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of Fran Verutis for 50 years,
Loving father of Craig (Tracy) and Jason (Karen).
Cherished grandpa of Troy, Brett and Tyler.
Dear brother of Betty Pagett (Joe) and the late Diane Redman (Merv).
Survived by his brother-in-law Richard Targosz and his sister-in-law Janice Moser (John).
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George and Sophie Verutis.
Jim was a grounds keeper at Doon Valley Golf Course. Jim was an enthusiastic fan, cheering on his grandsons as they played many sports and was also an avid Kitchener Rangers fan.
Jim's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Dr. Kitchener. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Reception will be held in the church hall following the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The K-W Community Foundation- Merv & Diane Redman Family Fund or The Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
