The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jan Varga can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: John:

I am deeply sorry for your loss. My daughter, Shannon, and you have been best friends for 29 years so I am sure I don't have to tell you how important you and your family are in her life. We are also all on this planet for an unknown time but one day we will all reunite and your mom is now on her way to the next plateau. God speed her journey. As well, the pain in losing someone slowly gets replaced with great memories of the good times . . . and you begin to smile then for those times !

All the very best, John, to you and your family, knowing our whole family is thinking of you in these troubled times.

Kindest regards,

Ian & Kathy Lydiatt

Condolence: Jan, I am so sorry we didn’t share more time together. We were friends from our first job at Zehrs on Belmont. I was fortunate to have you back in my life these last few years and I will always remember your amazing talent and caring heart. I will miss you.
To Jan’s family my sincere condolences, unfortunately I will not be able to attend Jan’s service as I’m away.

Condolence: Oh Jan....such wonderful memories I have of you when we were in nursing school together. You were always the prettiest one in the class......so much fun we had. It was wonderful to reconnect with you in the recent months....I regret that we weren't able to get together. I know life was difficult, but now you have peace. I'll never forget you my friend. XO

Condolence From: Maggie (Lumsden) Bolger
Condolence: Jan was a good friend to the Lumsden family - from swimming in our pool between shifts at Sunnybrook in TO (I am much younger and thought she was the coolest!) to fun visits and meals at the Varga household in Banff. John, we send our deepest love to you now and in the coming months. Rest in peace, Jan. xxxooo Love, Mag
