Obituary for John Putschli
Putschli, John:
Passed away with family by his side after a brief illness at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of Magdalena for 67 years.
Loving father of daughter Rosemary (Mike Feiler), and sons John (Georgia), and George (Lauren).
Cherished Opi of 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He will also be missed by his sister Maria Batton and extended family in Germany as well as his sister-in-law Theresa Kniess nephew Robert (Maxine) Kniess.
John was predeceased by his parents Johann and Katrina Putschli, granddaughter Samantha Putschli and brother-in-law and cousin George Kniess.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor at St. Mary's Hospital for their loving care.
John's family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of John's life will be held in the funeral home of the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at Woodland. Reception to follow back at the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation and Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
