Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Janis for 52 years. Loving father of Allison (Chris) Koebel and April (Nevin) Martin. Proud "Papa" of Justin, Ashley, Shawn, Kara and Dylan. Dear brother of Susan Fife, Kathryn Giffen and the late Fred Shantz.
John's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30-3:15 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the chapel on Monday at 3:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
