Condolence: Mr. Weiler was the kindest, most gentle, most caring teacher I have ever had. Mr. Weiler treated us students with respect. He cared about our opinions, questions and suggestions. Thank you Mr. Weiler. You made us all feel good about ourselves. I have not forgotten one little trick of yours. Dull the pointy end of a nail so it won't spit the wood. Still use that trick today. Condolence: In his very subtle and understated way, Uncle John was steady, reliable, and down to earth, like a field-stone foundation. He was a shining example of how less is more, and was at the heart of many fond, family memories. Still vivid, the memory of a backseat, full of wide-eyed cousins, laughing and screaming, as we sped toward the fork in the road at Inverhuron Provincial Park, and Uncle John magically removed the keys from the ignition of the Pontiac, and cried out "Which way?, WHICH WAY?!!!" In later years, we were schooled in the art of hospitality, as John and Jean hosted countless Octoberfest celebrations, where they made everyone feel at home. We will miss Uncle John, and are grateful for learning so much from him.

Condolence: We will miss John. He was a gentle person and a gentleman with a ready smile and wry sense of humour. He was a very kind cousin to our family. John was a great husband, father, grandfather and brother who always did his best to look after everyone. We have no doubt that he has the front row seat in the great Hot Stove Lounge in the Sky.

Condolence: The Weiler and Adams families were long time neighbours. We would often see John out in his backyard garden, tending to it lovingly like the expert city farmer that he was. We would always reap some of the benefits of the harvest. John would quietly leave various garden offerings on our back patio. My mother especially loved the delicious tomatoes. John was a kind and caring person. He had a friendly nature and ready smile. He will be missed. Heartfelt sympathy to all of the family. Nancy Nugent

Condolence: John was my Industrial Arts teacher at St Anne’s in 1968 and 1969. To this day I tell people that he was the best teacher I ever had. I am saddened by his passing and that I never had the chance to tell him what a positive impact he made in my life. RIP Mr. Weiler.
