Boettcher, Karl Edmund:
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at 91 years of age. Beloved husband of Wanda Boettcher. Loving father to Howard (Carol), Edward (Kathy), and Richard (Susan). Cherished Opi to Robert, Amanda, Emily, Kathleen, Andrea and Riley. Survived by his brother Eugen (Christa) and cousin Lucie (John Yendt). Predeceased by sister Iralda and granddaughter Brooklynn. Fondly remembered by his nieces Veronica (Gerry Drews), Connie (Donald Zorn) and Caroline (Angelo Tzeckas). He was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Karl's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 47 Sheldon Ave., Kitchener, on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church or Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
