Mr. Stephenson taught at Trillium Public School when our daughters were students there many years ago. He was a gifted teacher who had a lasting positive impact on his students. A very sad loss for his family, friends, and our community.

Mr. Stephenson was my teacher in both 1st and 5th grades at Trillium Public School in the 1980s. I ended up getting a PhD and so I have been in many classrooms over the years. Mr. Stephenson stood out as one of my absolute favourite teachers all the way through my education. He had a knack for talking to elementary school students in a way that was completely relatable but never patronizing. He will be very fondly remembered by the many students whose lives he touched.
