June was born in Toronto on June 14, 1932 and passed away in Kitchener on April 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Wilfrid R. Zalman for 60 years. Devoted mother of Tracy (Cathy), Paul and Joanne Daly (Dale Seip). Proud grandmother of Josh Daly, Emily Daly, Abby Zalman and Travis Zalman. June will be missed by her sister Thelma McConnell of Bobcaygeon, sister-in-law Susan Zalman of Barrie, many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Grace (Mitchell) Daly, brother-in-law Kenneth McConnell, brother-in-law Eric Zalman, sister-in-law Shirley Zalman, niece Erica Zalman, and nephew Neil Risebrough. June met her husband at A Christian Endeavour Summer Camp at Lake Couchiching (Orillia) in August of 1952. After Wilfrid finished law school they married on the 4th of October 1958. Prior to starting her family, she was employed as a secretary at the then Waterloo Lutheran University, and as part of her responsibilities she assisted two successive presidents of the university. Thereafter, she joined her husband's law office and enjoyed her work as administrator and secretary for 40 years. She did crossword puzzles to keep her mind active and was an avid reader all her life. The Zalman family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Lana Tan and all of the support staff of Waterloo Wellington Hospice. Cremation has taken place.
