Mike was a true friend and together with John Clare we shared many good times together in our youth. He deeply cared about people around him and his sense of humour and wit came from his deep intellect. He was a person who made a real difference to his own community and to the people he was always helping. Although, I’ve been overseas the past 26 past years whenever we meet-up it was still the same friendship. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew his clever ways of making people smile
