When I Grow Up

I truly never realized the impact that Mike had on me until this past Saturday. I had the honour and the privilege of making Mike's acquaintance a number of years back when he joined the Cambridge Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC). I liked him immediately. His sense of humour, his facial expressions, his play on words and of course his selfies with his thumb always made me laugh. So much so, that I would say to him every chance I got & I quote; "Mike, when I grow up, I want to be just like you!". I still do. Our loss is heavens gain and even though I take some comfort in knowing this, the pain remains. I truly believe the void in my heart will never be completely filled and I am alright with that as it will be a constant reminder of our friendship.Until we meet again my friend....Committee!.
