Saunders, Norman MacDonald "Mac"
Passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 after 94 years of a life filled with the love of family and his faith.
Survived by his daughters Jan (Bob) Blackburn and Cheryl Saunders, grandchildren Jennifer Blackburn (Tom Gelling), Jeff Blackburn (Meg Maguire), Tara Gutscher (Kevin) and Kristopher Brodrecht (Mallory Gaudron).
Blessed by great-grandchildren Nina and Arthur Gelling, Zachary and Alexander Gutscher, and Emory Blackburn. Also survived by his wife Ruth Saunders, her daughters Sandra Murray (Derek Taylor) and Sheryl Murray (Kim Gaynor), step-grandsons Colin Taylor and Eric and Nicholas Murray. Predeceased by his first wife Lucille (1987).
Mac retired in 1987 from Uniroyal RMS. He was an Elder Emeritus at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Mac was a kind and generous man, always willing to lend a hand. Special thanks to the staff at AR Goudie for their compassionate care.
Mac's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019 and from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date at Greenfield Cemetery in Arthur.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or Ray of Hope would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
