Obituary for Patricia Elaine Wunder (Schumacher)
Wunder, Patricia E. (nee Schumacher) :
It is with heavy hearts the family announces Patricia's peaceful passing at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of William (Bill) for 69 1/2 years. Cherished mother of Dennis (Sandi), Nancy MacAlpine (Ken), Marilyn Woolven (Robin), Larry (Muriel), and John (Alice). Remembered with such love by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family, predeceased by her parents Eileen and Victor Schumacher, brothers Robert, William and Leo Schumacher and sisters Catherine Schumacher, Marie Racine (Yvon), Frances Cinquino (Joe), Barbara Strollo (Pat), and Jewell Kipfer (Ed). Survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Lutz (Johnny), and brother-in-law Robert Wunder (Anne). She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends. She worked as a merchandising coordinator for K-Mart for over 20 years until she retired. Pat was a devoted, kind and generous woman. She loved well and was well loved. Cremation has taken place. Many thanks to the staff at Parkwood Mennonite Home for their exceptional care given to Pat. "You all have such beautiful smiles."
A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne's R.C. Church, 268 East Ave. Kitchener, on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
