Condolence: I am shocked to have just found out about Sarah's passing. I grew up with Barb and became a good friend of Dick. I have known Sarah since birth and it was obvious early in her life that she was going to accomplish some special things. My thoughts are with her husband David, brother Kyle, Barb and all of her family and friends. Sarah was very close to her grandfather Bill Allan of Collingwood. I hope they are together again!

Condolence: Sarah, my beautiful sister, I wish I'd known you better. I wish I'd known you longer. I knew you were special when a baby but you grew into such an amazing, strong, dedicated and spiritual woman. Iā€™m in awe of all that Sarah accomplished in a short life. I used to babysit her when she was little. Quite a spunky character! Sarah Lippert was an accomplished scholar, teacher, artist and author and an expert in a period of history that I just adore. We had many fascinating conversations. One of her most endearing qualities was her commitment. and passion for justice, Mother Earth, human rights and animals. She made a big impact in a short amount of time to so many including so many of her colleagues and students. Miss you. Love you always Sarah Lippert šŸ’œ

Condolence: Sarah and I were colleagues both on SACUA and as art historians at the University of Michigan. She was a brilliant scholar who was totally committed to faculty governance and the rules of engagement. She was an inspiring professor and colleague, as well as a brave and relentless crusader for what was right. She is greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her husband and family.

Condolence: I am heartbroken for David, Sarah's family, and her beloved students. Sarah was my dearest colleague, mentor, and close friend. It was an honor to work with Sarah and follow her steps in the humility she modeled for her students. She led them and myself by such kind example. Whatever I possibly did in assisting her in her role, she returned to me 100 fold, always considering my own professional development and research. I will not only miss our many discussions regarding our love for art history, but the countless talks we had in our mutual care and concern for the ethics and humane treatment of animals. Sarah's big heart will live on in all she touched. She was a blessing in my life.

Condolence: Dave, our hearts go out to you and the families. We only knew Sarah through Robyn but we all played a part in her life, even a small one. Her life was not small, though; she lived it well and her impact was great. She will be missed. May you find peace and comfort in that knowledge.

Condolence: I first met Dr.Lippert in 2015 at the University of Michigan-Flint campus when I took an art history class with her. When I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts-in Photography I wasn't going to go on to receive a masters but Dr. Lippert convinced me to go for my Master's in Arts Administration. So I registered that summer and I graduated with a masters in 2018. During that two years I was her research assistant. She was an amazing person and loved her students. She knew each students potential and would guide them and help them reach it. She gave us many opportunities to help with our education. She was my instructor, academic adviser, thesis adviser, but most important she became my friend. Dr Lippert will be missed greatly. I have learned so much from her. Her legacy will live on through each one of her students. She touched many hearts in her short life. Rest in peace my friend!

Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sarah's premature death. She was an amazing young woman who had made major contributions to the field of art history and possessed so many fine personal qualities. We kept up after she received her Ph.D. from Penn State. I will certainly miss her as will so many !

Condolence: My sincere condolences to David and family. Sarah was my colleague at the University of Michigan-Flint. Sarah first caught my eye at a governing faculty meeting. I was struck by her strong sense of ethics and her passion for what she believed in. She was a strong advocate for faculty governance, student success, and justice. She had a keen eye for detail and was vocal, professional, and collegial. The two of us conversed in French from time to time and shared French books to read ... She leaves a big void ... I miss you Sarah!
