It is with great sorrow that the family announces that Helen passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Doug de Roit.
Dear sister of the late Bob Heimpel and survived by her sister-in-law Donna.
Cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her nephew Trent Wheaton, great-niece and nephew; Samantha Putschli and Jacob Heimpel, sister-in-law Bettina Wheaton and brother-in-law Ted de Roit (Dorothy).

Helen loved to travel with Doug, enjoyed time with family and many friends from the Court At Laurelwood. She participated in many senior groups, including FRIENDS and was a life-long member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Helen's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial celebration of Helen's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Richard Schwass officiating. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Lisaard House would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
