Durst, Ruth M. (nee Snyder)
Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Innisfree House at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late Harvey Durst for 63 years.
Loving mother of Gary (Kathy), Kevin (Dawn), Guy (Judy), Joad (Laurie) and Duane (1985).
Survived by her daughter-in-law Angie.
Cherished grandma of Corey (Kelly), Emily (Shane), Michael, Ryan (Heather), Ethan, Ike, Jason, Jennifer, Olivia, Keegan and Emma and great-grandma of Spencer, Simon, Darron, Desmond, Cyan, Parker, Shealyn, Lincoln and Levi.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sisters Ada, Amy, Vera, Ethel and her brother Norman.
Ruth was a parishioner of the St. Louis R.C Church and a long standing member of the Catholic Women's League.
Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo, Ontario N2J 1J3 on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Reception in the church hall. Interment at St. Boniface Cemetery, Maryhill, on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada or Innisfree House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
