It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Spiros at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Marilin Gomez Sobrino. Loving father of Arthur, Georgia, and Angelina. Dear brother of Strato (Rosa, Despina and Theoni), and Tina Spiliotopoulos (Vas, Evi and Alex). Predeceased by his parents Anton and Despina Sapounas. He will be remembered by Arthur and Georgia's mother Dorothena (nee Wyatt), Marilin's twin sister Mailin Gomez and her husband Dany Garcia, as well by family abroad. Spiros was an incredibly charismatic and generous man with a kind loving heart. He will be deeply missed.
Spiros' family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Trisagion Prayers Thursday 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Road, Kitchener, on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Autism Society Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
