Mortimer, Vera Eleanor (nee Hall)
Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late John C. "Jack" Mortimer (1989). Loving mother of David (Lynn), Douglas (Yolanda) and Dale (Christine). Will be missed by her 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Survived by sisters June and Lois and brothers Orv and Jim. Predeceased by 8 siblings. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Vera was a retired employee of Sears Travel and a longtime member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Special thanks to the Paramedics and staff at Grand River Hospital, especially 5B, for their compassionate care.
Vera's family will receive relatives and friends from 12-12:45 p.m. on Saturday March 30, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the chapel on Saturday March 30, 2019 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
